She stayed up all night for the sunrise. It blanketed over her, washing her in the colours. In the dark she ran along the edge of the fence landing on charcoal toes. She wore the white dress he had given her from the day before. It was long and draped down her legs, but she had used the kitchen scissors to cut it up past her knees. The top looped around her shoulders and left her arms bare. Her hair she wore long and unkempt. In her eyes, a storm of regret and lust lingered.
